Installation
The installation was swift and easy . We encountered no problems installing this program. Default settings are prepared for you to aid in the installation and setup process.
System Scan
The scan of our system revealed just over 827 errors. The scan time was quite long taking over 30 minutes in all, this was to be expected as the software has a large error definition database (over 53,000) to check against your computer.
After the system scan is completed you can view a complete list of errors that were detected, you can either manually choose to remove them or just let the Intelligence System (highly recommended) determine which should be removed, a close examination of the errors confirmed that all the detected errors and junk files were safe to remove.
After repairing these errors we noticed a significant reduction in boot-up times and general PC performance was increased, applications opened quicker with no delay, unlike before where the system would hang for a while before loading programs. The registry optimizer is an excellent extra feature of XP Repair Pro, this function will reorganize and streamline your computers registry for maximum performance and efficiency. We tested this feature and it did take a considerable time to complete (over 2 hours) but our test system contains over 50 pieces of software and has been used for several years, so our registry is large and a lengthy scan time was to be expected.
After completion we was impressed with the results, boot-up times have decreased, software applications open quicker and general PC performance has improved. It felt like a burden had been lifted from our system, top marks to XP Repair Pro for this excellent feature.
